HE BEST unrestored XY fairmont we have ever seen!!!
XY Fairmont: Y code (302 V8) column auto. All matching numbers. Nugget Gold / White, Saddle interior, bucket seat, 123,000 miles.
Sold new by Falconers Ford in Toowoomba , 2nd owner purchased in 1973 with 6,400 miles on the clock and owned for a total of 43 years. They drove it for 21 years adding 116,000 miles (5,500 miles per year) then parked it in shed in 1994 where it sat for the next 22 years untouched until 6 monthsago. Panel work is excellent from front to back, top to bottom. Has never been repaired or re painted. The original paint is in amazing condition apart from the normal minor stone chips etc. Inside the boot lid even has the paint runs from the factory and there is some real patina on the grille surround. Chrome and stainless is perfect. Interior is mint (seats and carpets had been covered since new). The steering wheel has some cracks and the windscreen has a crack. These signs of wear are part of the DNA of the car and will be recognised by the true collector. Underneath the car is a real gem with all factory assembly quality markings in great condition and nothing has been tampered with.

John has been especially careful with work done to retain the originality in respect of the car for the new owner. Very minor work would be required to make road worthy if the new owner chose to put back on the road. We have chosen to make it run only and leave any further work to the new owner if they want to.
