You cannot help but respect and love these pocket rocket GTHO slayers of the 1970’s. The GTR XU1’s made famous by the likes of racing legend Peter Brock.. Memories of the great battle of David and Goliath – Holden versus Ford and Moffat versus Brock. The XU-1s battling it out in 1972 and famously taking the Hardie Ferodo 500 Bathurst flag. Brock’s first Bathurst win in the Torana that beat the Falcon GTHO Phase 3.

This genuine May – 1972  built LJ GTR XU-1 finished in Glacier White over Black interior.

Fitted with a genuine factory original JP XU-1 engine, fully rebuilt by the owner, date correct XU-1 head, original intake manifold and new original style exhaust.  original numbers correct triple CD Strombergs. Transmission is through the original reconditioned M20 4 speed manual gearbox and the 3.36:1 ratio Banjo limited slip diff. Showing 49,504 miles with aprox. 5,000 miles since restoration. Interior has been re-trimmed with original gauges, steering wheel and optional factory Deluxe AM radio with speaker on the parcel shelf.

Tailshaft, brakes, suspension all serviced and rebuilt where necessary by the owner.  Riding on original Bathurst Globe Sprintmaster wheels including correct centre caps and good tyres.
