The LM 5000 VK HDT Commodore was the first of the VK HDT models, built to celebrate the Peter Brock / Larry Perkins Le Mans race campaign of 1984. One of approximately 130 cars built, these models were based on the Police Special BT1 Commodore. A minimalist approach to what is a very rare HDT model.
Built in July of 1984. Finished in Asteroid Silver. This car features: All matching number L31 5 litre V8 – HDT ordered and fitted 5 speed manual gearbox (Borg Warner T5) – Limited Slip Differential (3.08) – Rear deck spoiler, wind splitters and genuine Irmscher wheels – Period correct spare tyre – Sports Instrument cluster – Momo Flyer steering wheel and HDT gear knob – Optional Scheel seats – All paperwork, log books, original sales order and maintenance receipts.
