An original survivor presented as the regular driver that it is. Nothing to hide…This is the real deal! All the running gear has been rebuilt. The body and trim purposely remain unrestored, telling the story of this unique vehicle. The compliance plates have never been removed from the car. All engine components true to specification. Original engine, featuring 100% matching numbers. Dry rust free body. One of 263 purpose built Holden Toranas featuring the L34 Repco developed engine option. The 308 block with forged steel rods and cast-alloy pistons, stronger crankshaft, unique cylinder head with bigger ports and valves, roller rockers and new ignition system. Rochester Q-jet carburettor, along with a high-pressure fuel pump, plus tubular steel extractors and heavy-duty radiator. The L34 features the M21 heavy-duty gearbox and stronger back axle, uprated brakes (with 11-inch ventilated discs up front and 10-inch HQ drums at the rear) and bigger 14 by 6-inch steel rally wheels. The body package consisted of bolt-on flares to cover the bigger rubber, and different stripes to the regular SL/R 5000. Inside, the rubber bar strips, boot mat and centre console were all deleted from the factory to save weight. A genuine investment in Aussie motoring history.
